Herpa A Bavarian success story
Herpa was founded in 1949 in Dietenhofen (Bavaria). The brand name is derived from HErmann PAbst, the company's founder. Herpa originally manufactured accessories for model railways, but quickly developed into the leading supplier of 1:87 scale (H0) model vehicles in the 1970s and 1980s. The brand became particularly well known for its precise replicas of German cars, trucks and special vehicles.
With the introduction of the Herpa Wings series in the 1990s, Herpa also successfully entered the world of aircraft models. In contrast to the range offered by Oxford or
Forces of Valor, the focus is on civil aircraft. Today, Herpa is one of the most important suppliers in the 1:500 and 1:200 scales. The company has numerous licensing partners from the international aviation industry.

Herpa continues to manufacture most of its products at its headquarters in Dietenhofen. The models are also developed here. All models impress customers with their high level of scale accuracy and attention to detail, as Herpa models are based on official manufacturer templates.
