LOT operated a fleet of 12 Q400 turboprop aircraft from 2015 to 2023. They were purchased to replace the ageing ATR-72s that had been in operation since 1991. The end of the Cold War had led to an upswing in regional and trans-European travel, which had been impossible in the decades before. Following an edition in the more compact 1:500 scale, the Q400 now follows, also as a metal model, in the larger and more detailed 1:200 scale.
