Detailed resin models, dioramas and military vehicles
Artitec is one of the model making manufacturers that stands for particularly realistic and detailed models. The Dutch company has made a name for itself primarily with high-quality resin kits, buildings, figures and military models. Artitec models depict historical scenes and vehicles as authentically as possible. Artitec offers an exciting alternative to classic plastic model kits, especially for modellers who value unusual details, high-quality materials and realistic dioramas.
Modellers will find a wide selection of Artitec products such as military vehicles, buildings and accessories for dioramas in the Modellbaushop. Artitec models can be perfectly combined with sets from other well-known manufacturers, especially in the area of model making accessories and diorama construction.
History of Artitec - From museum model to resin model kit
Artitec is based in Amsterdam at a historically significant location. The famous aircraft factory of Anthony Fokker, which was founded in the Netherlands after the First World War, was once located at the company's headquarters. The connection to history and the faithful representation of historical scenes is still a central component of the Artitec philosophy today.
The origins of Artitec lie in a successful model-making company that has been producing customised models on behalf of museums, architects and shipyards since the 1980s. This resulted in numerous historical dioramas and detailed reconstructions. One well-known example is the Texel Roadstead diorama, which transports visitors to the Texel Sea and Beachcomber Museum back to the year 1665. The historic city of Alkmaar was also reconstructed for the Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar in 1671 in the rare model railway scale of 1:87.
Since the end of the 1990s, Artitec has been using the experience gained in these projects for series products in model making. The high-quality resin model kits for model railway enthusiasts and diorama builders in particular have made the manufacturer internationally renowned.
Special features of Artitec models - Highly detailed resin kits
Artitec models are characterised by an exceptional level of detail and high-quality materials. Many kits are made of resin, a material that enables particularly fine structures and is therefore highly valued in sophisticated modelling. Especially in diorama construction and historical scenes, this allows particularly realistic buildings, vehicles and figures to be modelled.
Typical features of Artitec models are very fine surface structures, precisely cast resin components and a high level of detail. Many models have realistic structures such as wooden surfaces, wall details or vehicle components, which are often difficult to reproduce in classic plastic modelling. Artitec goes one step further than many other manufacturers, especially when it comes to military models: numerous models are assembled and painted by hand, resulting in particularly realistic collector's models.
Thanks to the combination of resin technology, handcrafted production and historical accuracy, Artitec models are particularly popular with demanding modellers and diorama builders.
Artitec range - buildings, military vehicles and diorama accessories
The Artitect range is very versatile and covers various areas of model making. The buildings, figures and vehicles on a scale of 1:87 (H0), which are ideal for model railway layouts and historical dioramas, are particularly well known. These include, for example, historic houses, workshops, vehicles or small scenes that bring a model railway layout to life.
In addition, Artitec also offers a large selection of military models for collectors and modellers in smaller scales. Many of these models are supplied fully assembled and realistically painted. This makes them suitable for both dioramas and display case collections.
Artitec products can be perfectly combined with classic plastic modelling kits, especially when building dioramas. While military vehicles from Tamiya or Dragon Models, for example, represent the vehicles in a scene, buildings, figures and accessories from Artitec create a particularly realistic environment. Figures and diorama elements from MiniArt can also be ideally combined with Artitec models.
Short & sweet
Artitec stands for high-quality resin models, detailed diorama elements and authentic historical scenes in model making. Thanks to its many years of experience in museum modelling, precise resin production and high quality of detail, the manufacturer has established a firm place for itself in international model making. Anyone looking for realistic dioramas, historical buildings or high-quality military models will find a large selection of exceptional modelling products for demanding and unusual projects in the Artitec range. The models can be easily combined with the ranges from HERPA and Hauler, which also offer many products in 1:87 scale.
