14. Alloys used

Cultural-historical pewter figurines (flat and semi-plastic) are made in the traditional way, using slate molds, some of which are over 100 years old. The figures are individually cast by hand. A fine pewter alloy is used for this purpose, which contains about 55% tin (Sn), 39% lead (Pb) and some antimony (Sb) and bismuth (Bi).
Fully plastic figures (metal figures) are cast individually (usually in several parts) by hand or by centrifugal casting. For this purpose, manufacturers use different alloys, which may contain bismuth (Bi), tin (Sn), lead (Pb) as well as antimony (Sb).
Please note, all offered figures and metal models are collector models and not suitable as toys for children.
