This 1:500 scale A319neo from Tibet Airlines is a new addition in two respects: it is the first model from the airline, founded in 2010, and also the first A319neo from Herpa. This smallest member of the A320neo family allows for operations at very high-altitude airports, such as those found in the Tibet region: all airports are located at more than 3,500 meters above sea level. In addition to the nine A3190neos currently in operation, with five more on order, Tibet Airlines operates 27 additional A319-100s, six A320s, and five A330s, which are primarily used within China. Long-haul flights to Finland and Russia were discontinued after a short time. Currently, the only international destinations remaining are Kathmandu in Nepal and the Thai resort island of Koh Samui.
