Napoleon had managed to dominate almost all of Europe. The British Empire remained the invincible arch-enemy. France went to war with Russia, won, lost and in the meantime had a benevolent treaty. Apparently, the Kingdom of Sweden was also a country that seemed suitable for a coalition with France. For various reasons, it never came to anything. In the end, an ex-marshal of Napoleon - the later king in Stockholm - led the Swedes into war and, with the allies, kept the upper hand.
