Developed at the request of the French Army, the Panhard AML dominated the arms market in the 1970s and was the preferred combat vehicle of African countries for twenty years. The AML and all its variants saw service in 52 countries, and in some cases, remain in service today. This book pays tribute to an already legendary weapon that made a significant contribution to the defense of French interests as well as to numerous deployments abroad in Africa and Lebanon.
