Christian of Brunswick - War Contractor, His Army and Campaigns. On 16 June 1626, Christian of Brunswick died in Wolfenbüttel. Catholic sources report that he died like Herod. His internal organs had been gnawed by a giant worm. His life was compared to the course of a star, a comet. Acting restlessly, he rose quickly. And just as quickly, his life expired. He did not complete twenty-seven years.
