Volume 12 of the "Warship" series. The two frigates of the "Tromp" class were commissioned in 1975/76. Their main task was zonal air defence. They served as flag carriers for the COMNLTG (Commander Netherlands Task Group). Due to their large radome (which housed a 3D radar antenna), the ships were nicknamed "Kojak" after the bald detective from the famous TV series.
