The Italian combat dagger began its long career in the middle of the trenches of the First World War. Adopted by the "death companies" from the end of 1915 onwards, it was the trademark of the Arditi, the Italian stormtroopers who struck fear into the hearts of their Austrian enemies. From then on, the combat dagger became the symbol of "Arditism", adopted by fascism, which used it for its Blackshirts and all its elite units until its demise in 1945. This book contains some 60 models of Italian combat daggers used by the Italian stormtroopers in the period 1915-1945.
Each dagger is presented with a data sheet to help the collector identify and authenticate it. An indispensable reference work for the lover of mythical blank weapons.
