Although Kursk is still considered one of the decisive battles of World War II and numerous books have been written about it, there is a surprising amount of false information and legends about the central decisions in the run-up to the battle and about the fighting in the summer of 1943. In his study, Roman Töppel describes above all developments and events of the Battle of Kursk that have been little known or paid little attention to until now. He presents the reader with new, partly surprising research results and thus counters the still persisting legends surrounding this battle with thoroughly researched facts.
