In Volume 1, the land forces' flak missile systems (KRUG, KUB and OSA-AK) and the air forces' flak missile systems (DWINA, WOLCHOW, NEWA, WEGA, ANGARA) are presented. For the effective use of these anti-aircraft missile systems, radio measuring stations, command systems and complexes as well as security technology were also necessary, which are also dealt with in this book. The whereabouts of the missile systems and an outlook on the planned introduction of the most modern technology round off the book. The main component of an anti-aircraft missile system is the anti-aircraft missile complex with the inventory of equipment that is functionally linked during combat operations and necessary for firing missiles at an aerial target.
