More than fifty years after Joseph-Désiré Mobutu took power in the Congo, it is time to take a clear look at this period and try to consider the role of each individual, and especially the mercenaries, within this conflict. Based on their experiences and official documents, the author, who was assisted by several Belgian protagonists, has written this book in order to provide younger generations and historians with a solid and credible document that reflects as accurately as possible what happened at that time.
The 1967 mercenary rebellion in the Democratic Republic of Congo was a warlike conflict in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo that, from July to November 1967, first affected Stanleyville (Kisangani) and then the region around the city of Bukavu.
