This is the only Italian-language book about the guerrilla war in Mozambique from 1975 to 1992. It was written by one of the three journalists who reached the areas controlled by Renamo, the guerrillas fighting against the Marxist regime. The war was one of the greatest challenges in southern Africa, where the Cold War erupted into open conflict. The book is also interesting because it offers a technical analysis of a guerrilla movement that survived for about half the conflict despite a lack of foreign supportan extremely rare occurrence. Around one hundred photographs, almost all in color, were taken during the author's visits to the war zone. Despite the many difficulties, he was able to experience the reality of the conflict firsthand.
