European landscapes associated with the Revolutionary Wars at the end of the 18th century are shown, as well as the battlefields of Valmy, Jemmapes, Hondschoote, Wattignies, Nerwinde, Fleurus, Montenotte and Millesimo, Castiglione, Arcole, Rivoli, Pyramides, Aboukir and Mont Tabor, showing terrain features rather than troop deployments or movements.
