Description
The Württemberg army from 1800-1815 is interesting from an organisational point of view, with Guard infantry, cavalry and artillery, a genuine Light Brigade of two Jäger (rifle) and two Light Infantry battalions (usually brigaded with light cavalry and horse artillery to form a vanguard), three types of line cavalry (Chevaulegers, Jäger-zu-Pferd and Dragoner) and line horse and foot artillery. The uniforms were impressive: Guard infantry like the French Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard, line infantry in dark blue coats with different regimental facings and flags, Jäger and light infantry in green. It is excellent news to add David Wright to our authors in this series. This volume is full of his superb illustrations.
