In contrast to Tactics and Weapons, little has been published on the soldier of the Hundred Years War. The author attempts to change this with this volume. Using the rich source material that still exists from the operations of Richard Fitzalan, Earl of Arundel, in 1387 and 1388, an attempt is made to trace the soldiers' careers and to analyse the organisation of the English army.
