Description
Volume 5 of the Battlefield series. The Battle of Agincourt in October 1415 is undeniably one of the highlights of the Hundred Years' War between England and France. The first volume on this important encounter first analyses the composition of the English and French armies and takes a look at the person of the English King Henry V and the most important protagonists on the French side. The two following chapters look at the background and the course of the English campaign in Normandy - crossing into France, siege and capture of Harfleur, march towards Calais - as well as the first phase of the Battle of Agincourt with the attacks of the French heavy cavalry.
