This work is an English-translated expansion of an article that appeared in the October issue of the journal "Die Zinnfigur". Based on the evaluation of medieval and modern sources, the work describes in detail the numerous banners wielded by the contingents of the Teutonic Order as well as the Polish-Lithuanian army together with their allies in the Battle of Grunwald in 1410.

The numerous banners are illustrated not only by the many colour photos of painted pewter figures, but also by colour reproductions of the banners from medieval manuscripts (e.g. "Banderia Prutenorum" or "Codex Berghammer") and modern publications.
