The authors' original intention was to compile all information on daggers and their bearers in a single book. However, due to the large amount of information and the many images required, they decided to divide the book into two parts. Volume 2 deals with the officer and general daggers of the Ministry for State Security. This includes gift daggers for special occasions and for retirement from active service. They also show the different versions of miniature daggers for 25 years of service. Finally, they publish several lists with the names of the officers and generals/admirals who were awarded daggers, as well as their dagger numbers. A general description of the value and market prices of the individual daggers concludes the second volume.
