Third volume of a trilogy on the history and uniforms of the Italian financial police, from its founding in 1862 under the name Guardia Doganale to the beginning of the new Italian Republic in 1946. Following the publication of the first two volumes, Dalla Guardia Doganale alla Regia Guardia di Finanza 1862-1908 and L'età del grigio-verde 1909-1932, this important work on the reconstruction of the history of the uniforms of the financial police continues. This volume reconstructs in detail the development of the corps' uniforms after the Baistrocchi Reform came into force in 1933, which was extended to the personnel of the Regia Guardia di Finanza in 1934 and led to the introduction of the war uniform, which was standard for all mobilised personnel regardless of rank. The volume includes 75 pages of illustrations of uniforms, headgear, ranks and insignia, various items of equipment, edged weapons and firearms.
