With the "Battle of Britain Combat Archive" series concluding at Volume 20, it seemed logical to supplement the set with a series of appendices. The more the creators considered this, the more concrete the idea became. True to the style of the main series, each appendix volume offers a predominantly statistical analysis of various aspects of the air battle, complemented by insightful text, original documents, and current research findings. This second appendix volume focuses on Luftwaffe fighter units during the Battle of Britain, presenting the information in a clear, user-friendly reference format. For each *Gruppe* (group), the volume lists the airfields used, the ten most successful pilots, and the total number of claimed victories and losses. Additionally, bar charts illustrate each group's claims and losses for every day of the battle. It is a unique reference work that serves as an excellent complement to the book series. The statistical data are drawn from various sources, with the majority contributed by Peter Cook, an expert on the Battle of Britain. Peter Cook has spent over 20 years compiling an impressive database on the Battle of Britainone that is unparalleled in its level of detail.
