As the "Battle of Britain Combat Archive" series draws to a close with Volume 20, it seemed a logical step to append a supplement to the series. Each supplement will present a predominantly statistical overview of various aspects of the Battle of Britainsubstantiated by insightful accompanying texts, original documents, and the latest research findings, entirely in keeping with the style of the main series. This first supplement focuses on the RAF fighter squadrons active during the Battle of Britain and is designed as a user-friendly reference guide, facilitating quick orientation on a page-by-page basis. Each squadrons dedicated page lists the operational airfields utilized, the ten most successful pilots, and the total number of claimed victories and losses sustained. Complementing this, bar charts visualize the victories and losses for each respective squadron for every single day of the battle. It is a reference work that serves as an outstanding complement to the main book series. The statistical data has been compiled from a wide array of sources, with the core body of material provided by Peter Cook, an analyst specializing in the Battle of Britain.
