The military model specialist
Classy Hobby stands for high-quality military model kits with clean detailing and well-designed sets. The focus is primarily on 1:35 scale vehicles and selected large models. They look impressive in a display case as well as in a diorama.
If you are looking for model kits with precisely fitting injection-moulded parts, good assembly instructions and interesting models, Classy Hobby offers a good alternative to other manufacturers such as Meng Models (known for modern themes and excellent fit) or MiniArt (known for very fine details and extensive interior fittings of the models).
Classy Hobby breaking through with new developments
Classy Hobby was founded in Hong Kong in 2015. The brand deliberately focuses on new developments rather than simply reissuing already known model kits. The portfolio has grown steadily in recent years. When developing new kits, the focus is on rare models that were not previously available as kits. While Meng Models reaches a large audience with clever kit designs and contemporary vehicles, and MiniArt continues to set new standards with highly detailed kits including photo-etched parts and interiors, Classy Hobby positions itself between the other two manufacturers: the brand offers modern kit designs without overloading the build with parts.
Classy Hobby - Model kits
Typical for Classy Hobby is the good balance of the kits: fine engravings, logically structured assemblies and fits that allow for quick dry fitting. The parts are so precisely designed and tolerated that they can be quickly assembled without glue (dry) to check the fit, alignment and gap dimensions. Many kits offer optional parts (armament, covers, variants) so that different construction stages and periods of use of the models can be represented consistently. In comparison, competitor Meng scores points with excellent buildability and stable construction stages ideal if you want to achieve a top result quickly. MiniArt is aimed at those who love maximum detail, including delicate small parts and often optional interiors. Classy Hobby offers the golden mean: realistic shapes, fine surfaces and a practical number of parts ideal for clean painting, washes, filters and chipping without the assembly getting out of hand.
Classy Hobby range focus on 1:35
The focus is on 1:35 vehicles from the 20th century to the modern day, supplemented by special vehicles and variants. Characteristic features include:
- New kits (new moulds) instead of reboxings,
- clean surfaces for convincing weathering effects,
- clear assembly steps for continuous construction progress,
- useful accessories for different versions.
Classy Hobby kits can be combined perfectly with kits and accessories from other manufacturers for dioramas.
In a nutshell
Classy Hobby offers great model kits for model builders who value modern assembly layouts, fine details and various variant options without getting lost in a mass of small parts during assembly. In combination with kits from other manufacturers, there are no limits to your imagination when building dioramas.
