History of IBG Models
The company was founded in Poland in the 1990s. Its headquarters are located in Warsaw. Initially, toys were imported to Poland, but in 2008 the Polish company began manufacturing its own plastic injection-moulded kits. From the outset, the range focused on military vehicles, aircraft and ships. IBG model range The IBG range offers a wide variety of military vehicles, aircraft and ships. The range is very interesting for model building enthusiasts, as IBG repeatedly fills niches with its models. IBG Models regularly offers versions of models and sub-models that are not otherwise available on the market. It therefore differs from the product ranges of other manufacturers such as Revell or Trumpeterr.
IBG Military Vehicles
The product range includes a variety of models in the scales 1/72 and 1/35.
While the manufacturer initially impressed model building enthusiasts with English lorry models, it now offers a wide range of special models and variants of military vehicles from various conflict parties.
In addition to Italian military vehicles and French artillery from the Second World War era, the range also includes models of the Polish TKM Tankette in various designs. The tankette was a very light tank with a tracked chassis and usually a crew of two, rarely three, armed mostly with a machine gun, which was built in various countries from around 1926 to around 1938.
IBG offers various models of the Japanese tankette Type 94 in 1/7 scale. To match the 1/35 models of the Polish TKM tankette, IBG Models offers the light Polish 7TP tank in several versions. The models are available in 1/35 scale.
IBG Aircraft
The aircraft range includes models in 1/32 and 1/72 scales. These are mainly models of aircraft from the WWI and WWII era. However, some kits of modern aircraft are also available in 1/72 scale, such as a Ukrainian MIG-29.
IBG ships
All ship models are available in 1/700 scale. IBG offers a wide range of destroyer models.
These include models of the Hunt class. The ship class was designed in 1938. The 80-metre-long ships were armed with three 102 mm twin guns, a QF 2 Pounder quadruple gun and two 20 mm guns.
In addition to Royal Navy ships, the IBG range also offers models of sister ships that served in the Polish Navy.
