The Polish airline LOT is clearly focusing its modernisation programme for its medium-haul fleet on the Boeing 737 Max. No fewer than 24 Max 8s are currently in service, with a further six due to be delivered in 2026 alone. LOT recently decided to replace its short-haul fleet of Embraer E-Jets with the Airbus A220. In future, the fleet of Poland?s largest airline will be centred on three aircraft types: the A220 for regional and less frequented routes, the Boeing 787 for long-haul flights, and the 737 Max for routes within Europe, the Mediterranean region and the Middle East.
