Also Light Infantry.
The figures can also be used as Kurhannoversche Jaeger. (The Freytag Corps was a Kurhannoversches Free Corps founded in 1757 in the Seven Years War.)
Painted like Infantry Regiment No. 10
The Seven Years' War hit Electoral Hanover hard as one of the main battlegrounds. Austria's alliance with its old enemy France had reversed the political situation and brought Hanover into alliance with Frederick II of Prussia in the wake of Great Britain. In the early years, the Prussian-British forces were mostly in a poor position. The great military skill of Duke Ferdinand of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel, whom the Prussian king willingly handed over to his ally as commander-in-chief of the allied army, could not fully compensate for the losses of the first two years, especially the defeat of the Duke of Cumberland at Hastenbeck (1757) and the subsequent Convention of Kloster Zeven, which left the entire country to the French for a year. - Wikipedia -
