Shooting grenadiers under fire, with 4 soldiers killed in action for the period 1740 to 1770 for the Electorate of Brunswick-Lüneburg, also called the Electorate of Hanover (Kurhannover). All regiments wore red uniform coats, similar to the English army.

Also for the Army of Observation. This was the Hanoverian Army of Observation formed in 1757. It numbered about 47,000 men with 22 heavy guns at the beginning of the Seven Years' War. Of these, Electoral Hanover provided 27,000 men, Hesse-Kassel 12,000 men, Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel 6,000 men, Schaumburg-Lippe 1,200 men and Saxe-Gotha 800 men. The commander-in-chief was William Augustus, Duke of Cumberland, son of George II, King of Great Britain and Elector of Brunswick-Lüneburg (Hanover). The Hanoverian Army of Observation was defeated by the French at the Battle of Hastenbeck and disbanded in accordance with the Convention of Zeven Abbey. The head of the army was Ferdinand von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, he was a field marshal general in Prussian and Electoral Hanoverian and British service respectively.
