The flat tang design is one of the two most widely used designs for a fixed blade knife. The other variant - the tang knife - has already been covered in the Knife Magazine Workshop series. This topic is an excellent introduction to the knife making hobby. No previous knowledge is required. The workshop and tool requirements are minimal. The comprehensive explanations and step-by-step instructions, where each step is described with a picture, make the work easy even for beginners. At the same time, the concept of the instructions is flexible enough to allow readers to implement their own creative designs.
The two authors are a well-established team and have already produced several volumes in the book series. The titles are emphatically practical.
