In 1971, the booklet written by General (ret.) Hans Cramer about the "Ala", which he set up and led in the Polish and French campaigns, was published. The division existed until the beginning of 1943 and was then renamed Panzeraufklärungs-Lehrabteilung 130 of the famous Panzer Lehrdivision. Cramer describes the formation and operations of the Ala until 1940. This new edition is supplemented and expanded to include operations from 1941 to 1943.
