In the textbook "Pioniertechnik" (Pioneer Technology), published in 1970 by the (East) Berlin "Deutscher Militärverlag" (German Military Publishing House), one finds the following definition: Series-produced track bridges of modern design are carried on various carrier vehicles - also called bridge layers - in the combat or marching order of the troops. This booklet of the series "Fahrzeug Profile" deals with the different bridge laying systems of the NVA.
