Germany has agreed to take a leading role within NATO's new rapid reaction force. For NATO's so-called "spearhead", the VJTF (Very High Readiness Joint Task Force) Share Land Forces (L), Panzer Lehrbrigade 9 has been designated as the nucleus. To train this new unit, the largest NATO exercise since the end of the Cold War called "Trident Juncture" was conducted. The booklet accompanies this exercise in impressive pictures and shows a selection of the vehicles and weapons deployed there.
