This issue of FLUGZEUG Profile 73 deals with the two designs Focke Wulf Ta 183 and the Messerschmitt P. 1101, which are hardly known to the general public.
Although both aircraft types had hardly progressed beyond the drawing board or prototype stage by the end of the Second World War, they had a significant influence on the development of the subsequent jet generation. Their traces can be clearly seen in the F-86 Sabre, the Saab J-29 Tunnan and the MiG 15.
