Architecture and High Technology in National Socialism. The way in which the Third Reich presented itself and staged itself in its planned and partially implemented large-scale architectural projects is examined: Berlin, Munich, Nuremberg, Linz and Rügen. Weaponry projects for the air force, army and navy (e.g. the "Midgard snake", heavy and super-heavy tanks, "American bombers"), which catch the eye not only because of their gigantism but also partly because of their boldness, form another focus of the work. Finally, fortifications (West-, Ost- and Atlantikwall) as well as large underground constructions (e.g. projects "S III", "Olga" and Dora/Mittelbau) are dealt with. 170 b&w. Approx. 280 pages.
