In the summer of 1941, the situation on the routes between Italy and Libya had become dramatic due to the attacks of British aircraft and submarines. As the Italians were unable to stop the sinking of their ships with supplies, a situation that became dramatic with the intervention of surface ships located in Malta, Berlin decided to run to the aid of the Mediterranean ally with its submarines which, in the period October 1941 to January 1942, they re-established the strategic situation.
The book describes in words and pictures the deployment of German submarines in the Mediterranean theatre of war between October 1941 and January 1942. At least temporarily, the German submarines were able to correct the strategic situation in the Mediterranean, which was developing unfavourably for the Axis powers.
