The book begins with Napoleon's early campaigns in Italy and ends around 1812, but also includes pictures of Napoleon I's stay on the island of Saint Helena.
The text passages are limited to captions, it is a purely illustrated book. For this reason, the book can be recommended to anyone interested in the Napoleonic era who is not so well versed in English and Italian.
