Duty, punctuality, harshness and obedience. When people think of Prussia, these are the attributes that usually come to mind. But what was Prussia actually? Was there also a "soft" side to Prussia? Did the land of duty also include the right to happiness and education, an emotional romanticism and even a culture of disobedience? Was Prussia only a state or was there also a Prussian "people"? Was the Prussian eagle the heraldic animal for a militaristic authoritarian state that ultimately held all of Germany in its clutches? Or was it a constitutional and cultural state from which the Federal Republic of Germany still draws today? And are we perhaps more Prussian than we think
