Description of the troop movements, engagements and battles of the War of Liberation against Napoleonic foreign rule in 1813. Section 1 deals with the events from the beginning of the fighting in 1813 until the conclusion of the armistice: 1. general situation; 2. Russian advance to Kalisch and Berlin; 3. Russian and Prussian advance to the Saale, Battle of Groß-Görschen; 4. retreat until the armistice. Section 2 then deals with the further course of the campaign from the end of the armistice to the Battle of Leipzig: 1. overview and operations up to the Battle of Kulm; 2. futile movements in September 18132; 3. operations up to the Battle of Leipzig; 4. the Battle of Leipzig and the pursuit up to the Saale. With extensive appendix.
