This is a completely revised and significantly expanded new edition of the book title from 2013, which is now out of print. This is a very richly illustrated study of the German replacement bayonets of World War 1 with contemporary bw photos as well as current colour photos. About 300 different models are presented in this work together with their accessories and all details. The colour photos of the different bayonet types consist of overall views as well as detailed photos of the grip sections, the stamps and tokens as well as other identifying features.
This new edition now contains more than 1700 original wartime photos as well as up-to-date colour photos of the bayonets, new quantity data, an appendix with the German regimental tokens, a listing of the units equipped with replacement bayonets as well as explanations of the bayonet hangers and tassels.
