An interesting study of the world-famous Bayeux Tapestry, which depicts the conquest of England by Duke William of Normandy in 1066. The work begins with an approximately 60-page introductory text that provides information on shipbuilding, weapons and armour of the time, among other things. The main part is a complete reproduction of the entire tapestry with well-founded commentary. On each page, a small section of the tapestry is shown and explained. Particularly important details are highlighted again. At the end of the work there is a copy of the entire text of the tapestry in the original Latin and in English translation.
