The reason for the construction (1864-1873) of the Victory Column was Prussia's victory in the German-Danish War of 1864. Within a few years, two further victorious wars followed, the German War of 1866 against Austria and the German-French War of 1870/1871. These three victories were commemorated by its original three segments and the crowning bronze sculpture of Victoria. Height 13 cm. Berlin original.
