The Chronicle of the Tiger Company of SS Panzer Regiment 3 As a result of many years of research, the path of a rather unknown tank unit is documented from its formation in late 1942 to its surrender on 8 May 1945. In far greater detail than was possible in the brief chapter in "Tigers in Combat" Volume 2, an almost complete picture of the life and fighting of this company can now be drawn. This was possible - despite the scanty sources - through the collection of many individual reports, diary entries of former members as well as targeted interviews. It was also possible to gather many photos, which reveal both the everyday and the unusual and visually round off the overall account. The company's deployment path is traced in over 50 situation maps. Diagrams and tables show the company's structure, equipment and casualties. Not only the model maker gets an overview of the changing vehicle armour, paintwork and markings. On 16 pages, the respective colour scheme and markings of the tanks are documented in colour.
