The memoirs of a British veteran of the Napoleonic Wars. Adam Reed enlisted for service in 1806 in the II Battalion of the British 47th (Lancashire) Infantry Regiment. He served with his regiment at Cadiz, took part in the Battle of Barrosa, experienced the sieges of Tarragona and Tarifa, took part in the march on Madrid and the capture of Seville, fought at Vitoria, was involved in the second assault on San Sebastian and still fought in the battles at Nivelle, Nive and finally at Bayonne.
