Manufacturer

The convoy "Tarigo", consisting of four German and one Italian steamer, escorted by the Italian destroyers "Luca Tarigo", "Baleno" and "Lampo", left Naples and set course for Tripoli with parts of the 15th German Armoured Division to reinforce General Erwin Rommel's African Corps. During the night of 15 to 16 April 1941, it was attacked and completely destroyed by the British destroyers "Jervis", "Janus", "Nubian" and "Mohawk" (which had set sail from Malta) in the Tunisian waters of the Kerkenna Reefs.
