Description
This publication describes the events surrounding the naval battle of Texel in 1694 in the form of a 48-page comic strip with detailed illustrations by Jean-Yves Delittle and Douchka Delittle and a story by Jean-Yves Delittle. The last eight pages are a historical dossier on the Battle of Texel, containing the most important facts about the famous naval battle.
The question of naval supremacy has always been crucial in human history. As a symbol of scientific and military greatness, it was all too often the war fleets that tipped the scales in the great conflicts of an age when the aeroplane had not yet been invented. Names like Trafalgar, Skagerrak or Lepanto still resonate today. Naval battles that, like so many other
conflicts, have become legend. As a connoisseur of the subject, Jean-Yves Delittle invites the reader to immerse himself in the events surrounding the greatest naval battles in history from antiquity to World War II. In loose order, each album describes the historical events of famous naval battles. Unnumbered in the original, the individual works are numbered at "Finix Comics" to emphasise the series character. In the original, the series comprises 5 volumes so far. According to Glénat, about 18 volumes are planned.
