From 1754 to 1763 the so-called "French and Indian War" took place in eastern North America, in which Great Britain and France fought over the possession of the North American colonies. Decisive fighting took place on the territory of the English colony of New York. The European colonial powers were supported by warriors from various Indian ethnic groups. The author elaborates the causes of the conflict and describes in detail the events of this warlike confrontation.
