Description
A total of 124 detailed colour maps accurately describe the course of operations of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia and the Army of the Potomac of the Northern States between September 18, 1862 and January 22, 1863, culminating in the great Battle of Fredericksburg on December 13, 1862. Also included are all the major cavalry engagements of both armies within the aforementioned period. In addition to several general maps illustrating the large-scale movements of the armies, corps and brigades, the detailed maps show exactly the terrain conditions as well as the formation and movement of the units down to the regimental level. Each map is accompanied by a full-page explanatory text describing events in a particular section of the battlefield.
