Description
Giacomo Mirabella is an enthusiastic photographer who records his experiences in Eritrea and Ethiopia during the Italian advance in photographs. He portrays everything from the Caproni of the famous "La Disperata" squadron and the IMAM Ro.1 to the wreckage of two Ethiopian aeroplanes; fast tanks C.V.33, Italian cars and lorries of various types and Ascari divisions.
The meticulousness with which he indicates date and place in the captions is striking, so that we can retrace these days with him, crossing fantastic landscapes and meeting Abyssinian soldiers and priests, but also women and children living in the hut villages between Quoram, Mai Ceu, Lake Ascianghi, Cobbò and Ualdià.
