Description
When the National Socialists came to power on 30 January 1933, Herbert Frahm immediately offered resistance. To protect himself from persecution by the National Socialists, he changed his name to Willy Brandt. In 1933, he left Germany and went into exile in Norway to organise the Social Democratic resistance against Hitler from there. He learns Norwegian in no time at all and goes on a lecture tour through the country to warn against the Nazi regime. In 1940, he witnessed the occupation of the country by the German Wehrmacht.
