Description
The third volume in this series of photographs of Libya between 1911 and 1943, it begins with the command of the German 6th R Flotilla near Tripoli and then goes into some aspects of the Battle of Tobruk, with many unpublished photographs of the famous site, which was the scene of fierce fighting. Very interesting is the testimony of Carmine Peluso with some pages from his diary from Tobruk.
Then the arrival in Benghazi, the airport of Benina and the journey from Benghazi to Barce with the different Italian forts are analysed photographically. There are also photos of the Lodi cavalry in Tunisia and the Meharists.
